What we look for in an Integral Online Tutor
An excellent grasp of your subject area is essential but not sufficient. We believe your success as a tutor is determined by your ability to connect with, support, encourage, and inspire your students. Minimum Requirements
85%, or higher, in mathematics in your final year of school.
Currently enrolled in or having completed a recognised university qualification.
(We will also consider applicants in possession of a placement offer at a recognised university but who have elected to take a gap year)
A stable, fast internet connection.
A tablet, laptop or desktop computer that allows handwriting input (including writing pads that connect to your laptop or desktop). It is your responsibility to determine whether your hardware is compatible with the Bitpaper platform.
Preference will be given to applicants who have:
Taken physical science (physics and chemistry) and achieved 80% or higher.
Taken advanced programme mathematics and achieved 80% or higher.
Completed, or are currently enrolled in, a university course related to mathematics, physics, chemistry, or philosophy.
The Application Process
Step 1
Send a copy of your CV and a one-page cover letter to info@integralonlinetutoring.com. Remember, only applicants who meet the minimum requirements will be considered. Please do not include your ID number or any other sensitive information in your application.
Step 2
Successful applicants will be contacted for a virtual interview. The interview is your opportunity to help us get to know you better. We’re interested in why you want to work with Integral and why you believe you are a suitable candidate. Remember, you will also be able to ask us questions to determine whether Integral would be a good fit for you.
Step 3
Following a successful interview, applicants will be invited to prepare and present a mock lesson. The mock lesson should be 15-30 minutes in length. Applicants can choose any topic in the high school mathematics curriculum. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about the mock lesson.
Step 4
Applicants will receive feedback within two weeks of presenting their mock lesson.
