Here are some helpful resources that are freely available online. Integral Online Tutoring does not have a professional relationship with any of the resource providers. These resources are simply a compilation of those we have found to be useful.

Siyavula

Siyavula’s open textbooks are compiled by leading academics and educators and are tailored to the South African curriculum. Their mathematics textbooks cover grade 7 to 12 while physical science textbooks are available for grade 10 to 12. The Siyavula open textbooks are available for download from their website.

OLICO

OLICO is a non-profit organisation specialising in maths education. They provide accessible, high-quality maths resources up to grade 9. They also provide baseline assessment for grade 7, 8, and 9 that help to determine where a student has gaps in their understanding. OLICO’s resources can be accesses here.

Khan Academy

While not specific to the South African curriculum, Khan Academy is an invaluable collection of videos, practice questions and notes covering a wide range of topic areas. Students can sign up to track their progress and learn in a fun environment where they earn points for watching videos and answering questions.
